Invited by Le Mouffetard to create a short form on the theme of sport, La Mue/tte has taken hold of the "Maradona" myth and painted a fragmentary and jubilant portrait of him.
From the popular figure, the company draws the threads of a disturbing resemblance between a footballer manipulated by "the hand of God" and the Pulcinella of the Neapolitan puppet theatres, and evokes the key moments of Maradona's life with glove puppets. From the religious icon, it retains the "dirty god," out of the ordinary, but falsely innocent when he transgresses and harasses! From the sporting feat, it captures the artistic gesture, and stages a tango dancer in crampons.
